Ziconotide is a synthetic ω-conotoxin peptide originally isolated from the cone snail Conus magus. It is a potent and selective N-type calcium channel blocker used as an atypical analgesic in research for severe neuropathic pain, with applications in both in vitro electrophysiology and in vivo pain model studies.
