Mecasermin
Mecasermin is a recombinant human IGF-1 used to study growth failure from GH insensitivity, such as in Laron syndrome. It is applied in both in vitro cell proliferation assays and in vivo models of growth disorders to investigate IGF-1 receptor signaling pathways.
