BH3 hydrochloride is a blood-brain barrier permeable peptide that induces apoptosis by directly activating Bax/Bak or by antagonizing anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family proteins. It is a valuable tool for studying programmed cell death mechanisms in both in vitro and in vivo neurological cancer and neurodegenerative disease research models.
