This RGD-mimetic peptide acts as an integrin antagonist, blocking cellular adhesion to fibronectin and inhibiting osteoclast-mediated bone resorption. It is used in vitro to study cell adhesion mechanisms and in vivo within models of osteoporosis and bone metastasis.
