This research peptide acts as a neurotransmitter/modulator within pain pathways. Utilized in neurobiology and pain research, it is applied in vivo to study tachykinin signaling, where pretreatment in mice inhibits endokinin A/B-induced scratching and thermal hyperalgesia.
