Source
Yeast
Field of Research
Infectious Disease & Virology; Cardiovascular Research; Stem Cell & Developmental Biology
Endotoxin
Less than 0.1 EU/ug of rHuVEGF165 as determined by LAL method.
Purity
> 97 % by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses.
Bioactivity
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by a cell proliferation assay using human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) is between 1.0-8.0 ng/ml.
Form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.02 % Tween-20.
Molecular Weight
Theoretically as a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein, the product consists of two 166 amino acid polypeptide chains. As a result of glycosylation, it migrates to at least three bands with molecular weights ranging from 20-31 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Storage Conditions
Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.- 12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70 °C as supplied.- 1 month, 2 to 8 °C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.- 3 months, -20 to -70 °C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
