Applications Notes
Culture system: Broth culture. Preparation: Pertussis FHA, highly purified from Bordetella pertussis culture supernatant. Pertussis FHA is presented in Tris buffer pH 8.0, 0.5 M NaCl and 50% glycerol. Inactivation: Whole B. pertussis organisms are removed by sterile filtration. Inactivity is confirmed by attempted growth under original culture conditions. Since no procedure can guarantee absolute sterility, the reagent should be handled with appropriate safety precautions.
