Caloxin 2A1 TFA is a selective inhibitor of the plasma membrane Ca2+-ATPase (PMCA), specifically blocking the human erythrocyte Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase and its Ca2+-dependent acylphosphate intermediate. This tool compound is used in vitro to investigate calcium signaling and homeostasis in cellular physiology and pathophysiology research.
