Tat-beclin 1 is a cell-permeable autophagy-inducing peptide derived from beclin 1. It functions by inhibiting the autophagy suppressor GAPR-1/GLIPR2, showing efficacy in reducing polyglutamine aggregates and pathogen replication in vitro, and improving survival in murine models of viral infection.
