Leupeptin
Leupeptin is a competitive protease inhibitor derived from actinomycetes, effective against serine and cysteine peptidases like trypsin and cathepsin B. It is widely used in vitro to study proteolysis and has been applied in vivo to investigate roles in apoptosis, inflammation, and neurodegeneration.
