Rat Pancreatic Polypeptide (PP) is a 36-amino acid, C-terminally amidated PP-fold family peptide that acts as a high-affinity agonist for the NPY Y4 receptor. It is secreted by pancreatic islet PP cells and is widely used in metabolic and appetite regulation research, both in vitro and in vivo.
