C-Peptide, dog

C-Peptide (dog) is a peptide co-secreted with insulin from pancreatic β-cells during proinsulin cleavage. While historically viewed as inactive, it is now used in diabetes research to study insulin biosynthesis and secretion in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
