Acein

Acein is a high-affinity ligand for angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) with a Kd of 2.79 nM. While it does not inhibit ACE activity, it potentiates NMDA/D-serine-evoked dopamine release in both striatal slice preparations and in vivo models, making it a valuable research tool for studying neuromodulation and striatal function.
