This tripeptide functions as a substance P antagonist (IC50 = 90 μM) and inhibits its binding to MRGPRX2. It blocks SP-induced, IgE-independent mast cell degranulation in vitro and suppresses compound 48/80-evoked MRGPRX2 activation and scratching behavior in murine models in vivo, supporting neuroimmunology and pruritus research.
