2-Aminobenzothiazole is a favorable ligand to synthesize dinuclear complexes which contain nitrogen heterocycle. 2-Aminobenzothiazole is a neutral ionophore used for construction of a PVC-based membrane selective electrode for determination of Ce3+ ions. 2-Aminobenzothiazole can produce a new sorbent when bonds chemically to multiwalled carbon nanotubes[1][2][3].
