In vitro gluconeogenesis assay in primary hepatocytes was performed, showing the Adiponectin human derived from mammalian cells can inhibit glucose production. The ED50 was ~6 μg/ml.

Solubility
Add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Product not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in cell culture.
Storage Conditions
Stability: For long term, store lyophilized AdipoQ at -20°C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4°C. The lyophilized protein remains stable for 24 months when stored at -20°C
