Recombinant of human TIMP1 (HEK) protein
Product Specifications
Product Name Alternative
Metalloproteinase inhibitor 1, Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases, TIMP-1, Erythroid-potentiating activity, EPA, TIMP1, CLGI, TIMP, EPO, HCI, FLJ90373.
Source
HEK293 Cells
Field of Research
Cancer Biology
Purity
Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Bioactivity
The IC50 of 2.5-4 nM is measured by its ability to inhibit recombinant human MMP-2 cleavage of the colorimetric peptide substrate, Mca-PLGL-DpaAR-NH2.
Form
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized TIMP1 in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Storage Conditions
Stability: Lyophilized TIMP1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution TIMP1 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) . Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles
Notes
For research use only.
Applications Notes
Enzymes
Preservative
The TIMP1 protein was lyophilized after extensive dialysis against PBS.
