Endomorphin 2
Endomorphin-2 (EM-2) is an endogenous mu-opioid receptor (MOR) agonist that presynaptically and postsynaptically inhibits spinal motoneuron activity, as evidenced by reduced sEPSC frequency and amplitude. This peptide is used in neuroscience research to study opioidergic modulation of motor circuits in both in vitro spinal cord preparations and in vivo pain and motor control models.
