Gamma-Preprotachykinin amide (72-92) acetate
This 21-amino acid tachykinin peptide contains the neurokinin A (NKA) sequence and exhibits higher affinity for central NK-2 receptors than NKA itself. Despite lower NK-1 affinity, it potently stimulates salivary secretion via NK-1 activation, making it a valuable tool for studying tachykinin receptor subtype functions in both in vitro binding assays and in vivo secretory models.
