Etelcalcetide hydrochloride is a synthetic peptide and allosteric CaSR agonist used to reduce parathyroid hormone (PTH) in research models of secondary hyperparathyroidism. It is applied in both in vitro receptor studies and in vivo animal models for investigating mineral metabolism disorders.
