Phe-Met-Arg-Phe, amide acetate

This peptide, an amidated acetate salt of Phe-Met-Arg-Phe, is a potent activator of a potassium current in peptidergic caudodorsal neurons with an ED50 of 23 nM. It colocalizes with neuropeptide Y in certain brain regions, making it a useful research tool for studying neuropeptide signaling and neuromodulation in both in vitro and in vivo models.
