M1145 acetate is a selective GAL2 receptor agonist with high affinity (Ki=6.55 nM) and over 90-fold selectivity versus GAL1 and GalR3. It potentiates galanin signaling and is utilized in research to study galaninergic systems in neuropathic pain, mood disorders, and neuroprotection in both cellular and animal models.
