FGF-5 Recombinant Protein

Determined by dose-dependent ability to reduce tetrazolium salt, WST-8, by dehydrogenase activities of BaF3 cells expressing FGF receptors using Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) . The expected ED50 is ≤ 0.5 ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of ≥ 2 x 10^6 units/mg.

The lyophilized FGF-5 recombinant protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20°C. Reconstituted FGF-5 is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20°C. As with any protein, exposing FGF-5 recombinant protein to repeated freeze / thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature.
