FGF acidic Recombinant Protein

Assay 1: The ED50 was determined by the dose - dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by 3T3 cells in the presence of heparin is ≤ 0.5 ng/mL corresponding to a specific activity of ≥ 2 x 106 units/mg.Assay 2: The ED50 was determined by a cell proliferation assay using balb/c 3T3 cells is ≤ 0.2 ng/mL in the presence of 10 μg/mL heparin, corresponding to a specific activity of ≥ 5 x 106 units/mg.

The lyophilized FGF acidic recombinant protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20°C. Reconstituted FGF acidic is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20°C. As with any protein, exposing FGF acidic recombinant protein to repeated freeze / thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature.
