Bioactivity

Assay #1: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of IL-8 production by human PBMC is less than 10 ng/mL.Assay #2: TWEAK weakly induces the death of HT29 cells when cultured in the presence of IFN-gamma. The ED50 for this effect is between 30-45 ng/mL.

Storage Conditions

The lyophilized TWEAK recombinant protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20°C. Reconstituted TWEAK is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20°C. As with any protein, exposing TWEAK recombinant protein to repeated freeze / thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature.
