Lavofloxacin (lactate)
Lavofloxacin lactate ((-) -ofloxacin lactate) is a class of broad-spectrum antimicrobials that can kill or inhibit a variety of bacteria. Lavofloxacin lactate binds to DNA rotase and topoisomerase IV, resulting in blocked DNA replication and repair, thus inhibiting bacterial growth. Lavofloxacin lactate can be used to study resistance mechanisms in bacteria, including studying resistance genes and mutations[1].
