Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Antigen

Culture system: Vero cell culture. Preparation: RSV infected cells are harvested and virus is ex-tracted by alkaline treatment and sonication. The suspension is purified by centrifugation. The resulting antigen preparation consists of virus and viral components and residual host cell material. The antigen is presented in 100 mM Glycine buffer at pH 9.5. Inactivation: This product has been treated with Beta-propiolactone. Confirmed inactive by attempted growth under original culture conditions. Since no procedure can guarantee absolute sterility, the reagent should be handled with appropriate safety precautions.
