Phosphatase Antibody
AMG-529 is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the asialoglycoprotein receptor 1 (ASGR1) . Primarily expressed on hepatocytes, ASGR1 mediates the endocytosis and degradation of circulating asialoglycoproteins. AMG-529 functions by specifically binding to ASGR1 and blocking ligand interactions, thereby inhibiting receptor function. Clinical studies demonstrate that ASGR1 inhibition leads to a dose-dependent elevation in serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels, which serves as a circulating biomarker for suppressed ASGR1 activity. This antibody is utilized in research concerning lipid metabolism regulation and cardiovascular protection mechanisms.
