Fangchinoline

Fangchinoline is a bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloid that has been shown to elicit anti-cancer effects in prostate and breast cancer cell lines via inducing G1 cell cycle arrest. It has also been shown to inhibit cell proliferation and cell cycle progression in rat aortic vascular smooth muscle cells. Fangchinoline inhibits apoptosis of osteoblasts and protects against bone loss in prednisolone-induced osteoporosis rats by inducing autophagy.
