Wheat Germ Agglutinin Conjugated Dye 350
The carbohydrate-binding lectin known as wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) has a strong affinity for the sialic acid and N-acetylglucosamine moieties of glycoproteins. WGA conjugates will therefore identify yeast bud scars, gram-positive bacterial cell membranes, and mammalian cell membranes.
