Binds both lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from Gram-negative bacteria and lipoteichoic acid from Gram-positive bacteria (PubMed:17601777) . LPS binding leads to the activation of signaling cascades and down-stream MAP kinases (PubMed:17601777) .
