Target
Probably involved in connections of major cytoskeletal structures to the plasma membrane. May inhibit herpes simplex virus 1 infection at an early stage. Plays a role in regulating the proliferation, migration, and adhesion of human lymphoid cells and participates in immunologic synapse formation (PubMed:27405666) .

Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay
Assay Principle
Aviva Systems Biology MSN ELISA Kit (Human) (OKDD00404) is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay methodology. An antibody for MSN has been pre-coated onto a 96-wellplate (12 x 8 Well Strips) . Standards or test samples are added to the wells, incubated and removed. A biotinylated detector antibody specific for MSN is added, incubated and removed. Avidin-Peroxidase Conjugate is then added, incubated and unbound conjugate is washed away. An enzymatic reaction is produced through the addition of TMB substrate which is catalyzed by HRP generating a blue color product that changes yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration read by absorbance at 450 nm and is quantitatively proportional to the amount of sample MSN captured in well.
