Target

Isoform 2 is a receptor for IL22. Binds to IL22, prevents interaction with the functional IL-22R complex and blocks the activity of IL22 (in vitro) . May play an important role as an IL22 antagonist in the regulation of inflammatory responses. Isoform 1 may play a role in establishing and maintaining successful pregnancy.

Assay Principle

Aviva Systems Biology IL22RA2 ELISA Kit (Human) (OKCA02113) is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay technology. An antibody specific for IL22RA2 has been pre-coated onto a 96-wellplate (12 x 8 Well Strips) . Standards or test samples are added to the wells, incubated and removed. A biotinylated detector antibody specific for IL22RA2 is added, incubated and followed by washing. Avidin-Peroxidase Conjugate is then added, incubated and unbound conjugate is washed away. An enzymatic reaction is produced through the addition of TMB substrate which is catalyzed by HRP generating a blue color product that changes to yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration is read by absorbance at 450 nm and is quantitatively proportional to the amount of sample IL22RA2 captured in well.
