ApoA1 antibody was raised against a 17 amino acid synthetic peptide from near the amino terminus of human ApoA1. The immunogen is located within the first 50 amino acids of ApoA1.

Participates in the reverse transport of cholesterol from tissues to the liver for excretion by promoting cholesterol efflux from tissues and by acting as a cofactor for the lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) . As part of the SPAP complex, activates spermatozoa motility.

ApoA1 antibody can be stored at 4C, stable for one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
