TRPC3 Antibody

HTrp-3; SCA41; short transient receptor potential channel 3; transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily C member 3 variant c; transient receptor protein 3; TRP3.

TRPC3 antibody was raised against a 14 amino acid synthetic peptide from near the amino terminus of human TRPC3. The immunogen is located within amino acids 120 - 170 of TRPC3.

Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C, and by inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptors (ITPR) with bound IP3. May also be activated by internal calcium store depletion.

TRPC3 antibody can be stored at 4C, stable for one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
