Target

Dengue virus (DENV) is a single-stranded RNA virus that belongs to the genus Flavivirus, which includes Zika virus, West Nile virus and Japanese Encephalitis virus. Dengue virus infection is caused by any one of four related viruses DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3 and DEN-4, also referred to as serotypes, which co-circulate in endemic areas.

Specificity

This antibody is specific for Dengue virus serotype 1, and does not cross-react with other Dengue virus serotypes. The antibody has been shown to bind specifically to Virus-like particles that contain Dengue Envelope protein and prM/M proteins. The antibody binds only to VLPs of serotype 1, showing no binding to serotypes 2,3 or 4.
