This antibody reacts with human and other mammalian p21 protein. p21 is an intracellular protein of 21kD size. It is also known as the wild type p53 activated fragment 1 or WAF1. p21 inhibits cyclin-dependent kinases (Cdkâ€™s) and also proliferating cell nuclear antigens or PCNAâ€™s) .
