Cytidine triphosphate synthase can catalyze the formation of cytidine 5′-triphosphate from uridine 5′-triphosphate (UTP) . Cytidine 5′-triphosphate disodium is an essential biomolecule in the de novo pyrimidine biosynthetic pathway in T. gondii[1].
