Eichlerianic acid is a trypanocidal compound with an IC50 value of 10 mg/mL. Eichlerianic acid may have antiviral activity against Herpes simplex virus types I and II in vitro. Eichlerianic acid shows weak cytotoxicity (IC50 6.87 to >40 ?M) against human cancer cell (HL-60, SMMC-7721, A-549, MCF-7 and SW480) .
