PF-04577806 is a potent, selective, and ATP-competitive inhibitor of protein kinase C (PKC), showing significant inhibitory activity against various PKC isoforms, including PKC? (IC50=2.4 nM), PKC?I (IC50=8.1 nM), PKC?II (IC50=6.9 nM), PKC? (IC50=45.9 nM), and PKC? (IC50=29.5 nM) . Additionally, it can reverse retinal vascular leakage in diabetic rats.
