Lunularic acid, a dihydrostilbene analog, efficiently inhibits hyaluronidase activity (IC50=0.13 nM) and can be used as an endogenous growth inhibitor in moss plants. Lunularic acid also possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which can be used to study the growth regulation and pharmacological activities of moss plants.
