GW-3333 is an matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor. It is also a tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF) -Converting Enzyme (TACE) inhibitor. The efficacy of GW3333 suggests that dual inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinases and TACE may prove therapeutic as antiarthritics.
