Bioactivity
Desmeninol is an active endogenous metabolite, detected mainly in urine, and in cells located mainly in the cytoplasm and fat bodies. It is used as a catalyst, chlorinating agent, curing agent and stabilizer in organic synthesis. In the dye industry it can be used as a raw material for the production of Disperse Red 343. In medicine, it can be used for the production of oxalazine and so on. It can be used as color regulator for color photographs. It can also be used as fungicide.
