Dehydrobruceine B, a quassinoid, can be isolated from Brucea javanica. Dehydrobruceine B shows a synergistic effect with Cisplatin to induce apoptosis via mitochondrial method. Dehydrobruceine B increases apoptosis-inducing factor (AIF) and Bax expression and suppresses Keap1-Nrf2[1].
