Deguelin is a naturally occurring flavonoid that displays potent antiproliferative, antimetastatic, and apoptotic activity against several cancers both in vitro and in vivo. deguelin induces cell death by inhibiting several cell signaling pathways, such as PI3K-Akt, IKK-IκBα-NF-κB, AMPK-mTOR-survivin, and HIF-1α-VEGF.
