Cercosporin is a light-induced polyketide phytotoxin reported to produce singlet oxygen when photoactivated. Acts as a potent and specific PKC inhibitor. Competes for the phorbol binding site. Anticancer compound. Also displays antiproliferative, antiparasitic and antimicrobial properties.
