ARN-509 is a selective and competitive androgen receptor (AR) inhibitor (IC₅₀ = 16 nM). ARN-509 selectively binds the androgen receptor and impairs its nuclear translocation and DNA binding to androgen response elements useful for prostate cancer treatment.
