AdipoRon

A potent and selective adiponectin receptor agonist (Kd = 1.8 and 3.1 μM for AdipoR1 and AdipoR2, respectively). Displays similar effects to adiponectin in muscle and liver such as activation of PPARα and AMPK signaling pathways. It also reverses insulin resistance and glucose intolerance in mice on a high-fat diet. It ameliorates diabetes in a genetically obese mouse model and prolongs the shortened lifespan of db/db mice on a high-fat diet.
