Mevastatin
A HMG-CoA (3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A) reductase inhibitor. Cholesterol lowering drug. Inhibits the biosynthesis of isoprenoids; induces apoptosis by inhibition of post-translational prenylation of proteins such as Ras.
