IPTG, Animal-Free (Dioxane-Free)

Dioxane free. Induces β-galactosidase activity in many bacteria. Functioning as a lac analog, IPTG induces β -galactosidase activity by binding to and inhibiting the lac repressor.and altering its conformation, which prevents the repression of the β-galactosidase coding gene lacZ.
